πŸŽ„ Historical Overview

Fudge first appeared in the late 1800s as a β€œmistaken” batch of caramel that turned out soft and creamy. Since then, it’s become a staple sweet across America, especially during the holidays. Hot chocolate fudge is a modern twist inspired by the cozy flavors of cocoa β€” blending the nostalgia of sipping hot chocolate by the fire with the melt-in-your-mouth decadence of homemade fudge.

❓ FAQs

1. Can I use milk chocolate instead of semi-sweet?
Yes! Milk chocolate will create a slightly sweeter, creamier fudge β€” perfect for kids or those who prefer a milder cocoa flavor.

2. How can I make it dairy-free?
Use dairy-free chocolate chips and sweetened condensed coconut milk. The result is just as rich and smooth.

3. My fudge didn’t set properly β€” what went wrong?
Be sure to melt over low heat and allow the mixture to chill for the full 2 hours. If it’s still soft, freeze it for 30 minutes before cutting.
